Being a full-time blogger and full-time Chief of Staff has been a wild ride.
Several times this session, I sat down on the couch to blog and fell asleep. Early mornings, late nights, weekends spent at the office. So I appreciate all of you hanging in there with me over the past few weeks as I figured out how to sway between two different sets of responsibilities.
But this weekend was extraordinarily productive, so let’s get back to taking a break together each afternoon.
Is happiness a personality trait or a learned skill?
For most of my life, I believed a person was either a ‘happy person’ or they weren’t. And I never considered myself one of those happy, shiny people, nor did I believe it was realistic to aspire to that label. Instead, I strived for contentedness.

This Jalapeño Herb Sauce is definitely going to be added to the rotation. It’s vaguely reminiscent of a chimichurri, but with some additions and subtractions. We use a red onion instead of a white for a slightly sweeter, softer flavor.
Like many of you, I did not buy summer shoes last year. And my summer shoe wardrobe is looking less than fresh as a result.
Nordstrom Rack has a massive sandal and spring shoe sale happening right now. I really like this pair for every day wear.
Matchmaker, matchmaker, make me a match // Find me a find // Catch me a catch. What? It’s too early in the day for Fiddler? It’s never too early for Fiddler.
This Bustle article about a ‘millennial matchmaker’ who started making matches after her Tie Tok went viral is worth your time. So much to talk about in the group text.
