For some time, we have been working toward moving back to Montana. But in anticipation of greener grass on the other side of that move, I realize that I haven’t built much of a life in Spokane since law school ended five years ago.
Most of my friends live in D.C., Montana, or somewhere else. I don’t have a stable career in Spokane, which has always been a big part of my happiness. And while Kyle has a vibrant life filled with activities and regular haunts, I really don’t.

Did you take home-ec in high school? This New Yorker article is a fascinating look at the history of Home-Ec, and asks did home-ec empower women or just function as a domestic trap? I see you, Jessica Pearson.
