What kind of week has this been?
I feel like a circus performer spinning plates on sticks while jumping through fiery hoops. But it is finally Friday, and in six hours, I can close this computer and take a breath. At least for a little while before I head into work again tomorrow.
So let’s take a break and a breath together.

Nothing makes me more excited than a text from a good friend or former colleague. Just to connect with people is the most precious thing in the world right now. This Time Magazine article covers how women — isolated by the pandemic, and struggling to stay afloat — are throwing each other a virtual lifeline.

Most of my work outfits now consist of blouses with leggings, but even if you are headed to the office, this selection of Zoom blouses should breathe a bit of life into your fall attire. With prints, patterns and colors galore, they’re the boost your closet needs right now.

Just trust me on this one. The video is a little on the long side at 8-minutes, but it is worth it. Warning: You may cry happy tears.

We’re mostly apolitical here because everyone deserves a break from politics, esp. in 2020. But this shirt is good for making a statement; maybe it’s about a presidential candidate, maybe it’s about that middle aged mansplainer in the cubicle next to you.

It’s hard to justify a day off when every day of work is spent at home, or when everything feels so tenuous at the office. But I promise you, you need one. So look at your calendar, find a good day to take some time for yourself, and check Wit & Delight’s recommendations for the best way to spend it.

I hope you get whatever you need out of your weekend — whether it’s rest, fun, or productivity. We’re all going to get through this together.
