I’m on hold with Crate & Barrel for the eighth time this week.
We ordered a couch last November. It’s still not here. The global supply chain is a nightmare. We tried to cancel it and order another. That one was 26 weeks out.
We tried to order patio furniture from West Elm in January. It would have delivered in November. A little past patio season.
Even an American manufacturer like Room and Board is 6-8 months out. Something about storms in the South impacting foam supply.
It’s fine. We’ll just sit on the floor.
One Fitness Thing // For me, the hardest part of getting in shape is sticking with a workout routine. I love something. Get bored. Quit. Repeat. But this article from SELF can help you find a fitness routine you love, so you don’t quit on Friday what you started on Tuesday.
One Work Thing // Bloomberg reportsthat some workers are quitting rather than go back to the office. They like that no-commute, work-from-home life, and they don’t want to go back. Which, when there are four jobs for every job seeker, is a decision you can afford to make.
What does the future of work in America look like? No one knows.
One Beauty Thing // Is it slightly absurd to spend $27 on cuticle cream? It might be. But if it heals dry hands in an instant, keeps your manicure fresher, longer, and one small tub lasts for months, it might be worth it.
One Baking Thing // It’s almost strawberry season here in Washington. Which means I need to find a way to use all the bargain-priced berries that will be headed our way soon. This Strawberry Tart from Spoon Fork Bacon is a good option. Buy a mandoline and those slices will take you 5-minutes, tops.
Yep, it’s confusing.
