Weather in Montana could be charitably described as unpredictable with a side of abject brutality.
Yesterday, the high temperature in Helena was an unseasonably warm 40-degrees. The high on Friday? Eight-degrees. The low? Negative two-degrees. Fabulous.
I’ve been so lucky this session compared to the 2019 session, when a lengthy cold snap kept the highs in single digits for weeks. But while I grew up in a community with even lower averages temperatures, 15 years of living on the East Coast and in Spokane has ruined my cold tolerance.
Thank God, I have my absurdly warm Amazon puffer coat to keep me warm. (Seriously, I’ve never been so warm.)
Whenever I’m stressed or need some time to process my thoughts after work, I clean. Make the bed. Vacuum the floor. Pick up the bathroom. Wipe down the cabinets. Straighten the pillows that my dogs will smash up 15-seconds later. I find it so calming.
