I added my Spotify Playlist to a post earlier this week, but in case you missed it, this has been on repeat in my office for days. Can’t get enough.
As we cover two weeks ago, the key to having a fun and relaxing weekend is to just make two plans. Just two. So pick a couple of things and enjoy yourself. We’re going to see the Anthony Bourdain documentary and probably take batting practice for my upcoming softball debut (it’ll be a success if I don’t get hit with ball).
Take care of you this weekend.

One Interesting Thing // Remember last year when Americans started receiving mysterious packages filled with seeds apparently sent from China? In a year filled with oh-so-very-much weirdness, this was one of the weirder moments of 2020. And when agriculture is a multi-trillion industry, it also had the potential to do real damage to the American economy.
The Atlantic tries to uncover the truth of the mystery seeds. Where did they come from? Why were they sent? And what the f**k were they? Read more here.
One Marriage Thing // What do you lose when you gain a spouse? This Atlantic article looks at whether marriage is the ‘social good’ that it’s supposed to be. Sure, marriage isn’t easy, but does it have to be that hard?
One Clothing Thing // My husband goes through four to six pairs of shorts per summer. If it’s not a stain, it’s a hole. If it’s not a hole, it’s a fray or a tear. The cycle is endless. Or at least it was until I found these GoodThreads shorts.
The shorts wear well, wash well, and last. And if the wearer is secretly wrestling alligators in his free time (what else could be the explanation), you can replace them for under-$25.
One Baking Thing // Brownie Ice Cream Sandwiches. You can thank me, and Sally’s Baking Addiction, later.
One Last Thing // If by ‘passion project’ you mean survival, then, yes.
