For many years, I described myself as “usually alone, never lonely.” I thrived in my solo life — the one where I went home on Friday nights, ordered takeout, watched television until the wee hours and wrote my blog. I didn’t feel like I was missing out on anything. But after a year of working from home, sequestered in my basement, spending my work day without human contact — I miss people.
