Everywhere you look these days, so much feels out of control. Like we’re all swimming in a sea of entropy. To borrow a popular phrase from mid-pandemic, “I miss living in precedented times.”
Our parents and grandparents were no strangers to upheaval. But for those of us born in the 80s, we enjoyed a period of progress and peace that lulled us into a false sense of stability. Maybe some day will live without daily political, economic, social, and diplomatic tumult, but until then we have to learn to cope. Here’s how I try to keep my own thoughts from spiraling.
